Saprina Shomari

Director/ U16's Head Coach

Coach Saprina has been playing volleyball for over 20 years. She was a defensive specialist at Washington College and a starting Varsity high school setter. She began coaching volleyball 13 years ago. She encourages her players to be their best. Saprina was named Cardinal District's Coach of the Year for the 2019-2020 volleyball season. She has successfully coached athletes of all skill levels. Many of her past athletes continue to play today, collegiately and recreationally. She is currently the Head Varsity coach at Gar-Field Senior High School.

Alexus Foreman

Communications Director/ U17-18's Head Coach

Coach Alexus has been playing club volleyball since she was 8 years old. Her love for the game is unparalleled. She was an Outside Hitter and setter at her high school, T.C Williams High School. She has earned many conference honors including 2, 1st team all conference teams, 2nd team all region, and honorable mention team her Sophomore year. She has been coaching volleyball for the past 5 years. Last season Alexus was the head coach for Evangel Christian School. She lead her team to an undefeated season, winning both the ODACS Class A and AA State Championship. She pushes her players to further their knowledge of the game and their mechanics within skill development. She is currently an Assistant Coach at Gar-Field Senior High School

Jason Matkowski

Assistant 17/18 Coach

Jason has been playing volleyball for 16 years, starting in 9 th grade. He played interscholastic and club throughout high school, playing setter, right side, and outside hitter. He was a two-year starter for varsity, and an All-District and All-State hitter his senior year, while supporting the Panther youth volleyball club as a summer camp and tournament coach for 11-15 year old boys teams. He played two years in NCAA at Stevenson University as a starter, earning captain status as a Sophomore. After transferring to Coastal Carolina University, he was Captain and President for the Men’s club team, a volunteer coaches’ assistant for the Women’s D1 team, and an official line judge for Big South Conference women's’ matches. Beginning in high school, he has played high-level grass and beach

doubles throughout his career on the east coast and in California.

Motu Taamai

 U15's Head Coach

Motu Taamai has been coaching for three years now while having played himself for over 27 years. He started out playing doubles in the sand as a teen before moving to men’s indoor 6’s while stationed in Korea serving in the Army. He played outside hitter while over time has been a setter as well. He loves the sport and watching the players progress through their skill sets. He is looking forward to a great season with Impact! Let’s GO!
