Coach Saprina has been playing and coaching volleyball for over 20 years. She was a defensive specialist at Washington College and a starting Varsity high school setter. She encourages her players to be their best. She is currently the Head Varsity coach at Gar-Field Senior High School.
Coach Alexus started playing club volleyball at 8 years old. Her love for the game has been unparalleled. She was an Outside Hitter and setter at T.C Williams High School. She has earned many conference honors including 2, 1st team all conference teams, 2nd team all region, and honorable mention team her Sophomore year. She has been coaching volleyball for the past 7 years. She pushes her players to further their knowledge of the game and get uncomfortable to overcome bad habits. She is currently the Freshman coach at Gar-Field Senior High School.
Coach Ashaki is a MIVBC alumni. She specializes in setting , in which she played since she began playing at 8. In 4 years of varsity volleyball in high school, Ashaki earned 3 conference honors. Coach Ashaki aims to push her athletes to work hard and retain corrections. This is Ashaki first official year as a coach.
Coach Destine began playing volleyball in the Alexandria rec program at 12. She has since fallen in love with the game. Coach Destine is an alumni of Norfolk State University where she played on the volleyball team as a defensive specialist. Coach Destine pushes her players to be active participants of the game on and off the court. This is her 2nd year with Major Impact VBC.
Coach Morgan has played volleyball since the age of 10. She played both club and high school ball in the state of Ohio. She specialized in setting. Coach Morgan is currently the coach at Rippon Middle School.
Coach Maggie began playing volleyball when she was in middle school. In high school, she libero’d and was a middle hitter. She earned a blocking record in high school and district honors her junior and senior year, playing in the District All-Star game her senior year. She encourages her players to be aggressive and to move their feet. She is currently an English teacher at Gar-Field High School where she is also an assistant volleyball coach.
Coach Lisa played volleyball while serving in the military. She played middle blocker. She began coaching once her oldest daughter showed interest in the sport while stationed in Hawaii. 2 of 3 of her daughters play collegiately. Coach Lisa stresses the importance of passing and serving to win games. She is currently the JV Coach at Gar-Field Senior High School.
Coach Lamelia began her love for volleyball late in high school. Her love was rekindled when asked to coach at Lake Ridge. She is currently the JV coach at Lake Ridge Middle School.
Coach Shay started playing club ball in high school. She also played all 4 years in high school. She rekindled her love for the game after being asked to coach at Lake Ridge Middle School. She pushes her players to always go big or go home. She is currently the head volleyball coach there.
